One week from today is a very important U.S. holiday: the 4th of July. Otherwise known as Independence Day. Also known as my birthday! So during the week leading up to this holiday I’ll be sharing with you some fun 4th of July themed outfits, hairstyles, crafts, and recipes. Get ready for loads of fun and a special birthday giveaway! I’ll also be posting the winner of the daisy necklace (from my survey giveaway) on Monday. First up we have a dressy, 4th of July themed outfit.
This was the outfit I wore to church Wednesday night. It’s fun mix of florals and stripes prints that incorporates the red, white, and blue theme of Independence Day. I love mixing florals and stripes more than any other two patterns, as you can probably tell if you’ve been following for a while. :) Since there’s so much going on with mix of prints, I kept my jewelry simple and classic.
Even though cobalt blue and bright red are more the colors for the 4th of July, I wore a more orangish-red tone with navy blue. This gives a little twist to the traditional hues while still maintaining the correct color scheme. It doesn’t matter which hue they are – I think all shades of red, white, and blue are perfect for this holiday! And of course I had to wear white, beaded sandals to complete the red, white, and blue circle.
What do you have planned for the 4th of July? I’m getting super excited – it’s one of my favorite days of the year. Hope you have a wonderful day, and thank you for reading!!
